So often the excuse for not increasing an education is that I can’t afford it. Online colleges have made that excuse obsolete with their affordable prices and flexible hours that can literally meet anybody’s schedule from someone working the graveyard shift to someone tied down during the hours the kids are awake, there is no longer any excuse for not achieving a better life.
The secret is to request quotes from several online colleges and not give up the search until you find something that is affordable and agreeable with your needs. The only true requirement is that the college be accredited and recognized by the state and country in which you plan to pursue your career.
Please note that this site only lists accredited online colleges and we provide the accreditation information below the college name so you don’t have to search to find out if the college is accredited.
Further is that you may by seldom chance encounter a link which is no longer in working order. This writer has found these colleges although accredited … to have proven to be anal in their approach to every dealing I have had with them and therefore I have removed links to their colleges because I don’t want to be sending you to colleges that are so picky they will make your life miserable when all you’re trying to do is get a degree.
Further is I cannot say for certain these colleges are like I mentioned … just that in my dealings with them I found them to have the kind of approach to life that I as a student would not appreciate.

Nursing classes taken online are an excellent way to gain your education in the area of Nursing while still holding onto your present job. Many on-campus schools are full up and there are actually waiting periods before students can get into their desired classes. This is not so when choosing to get your nursing education online.
Schools such as Kaplan Online offer a degree in nursing that is recognized across the country and can be completed at a pace to fit nearly any working adult’s schedule. This is so much more convenient than trying to meet the limited campus classes available in many areas. And unlike a nursing degree from a community college .. a degree from a college that is recognized nation-wide carries much more weight with potential employers.
Nursing is a career that is extremely in demand. Baby-boomers are within the next 10 years … going to be reaching the age of needing either care at home or in hospital stays or in some cases both. The demand for qualified help will sky-rocket which means so will the already high paying salary that comes with having a job which requires a nursing degree education.
For those seeking a nursing degree on campus …. there are a number of colleges which have locations throughout the nation which needless to say .. are much more recognized as a quality earned education. Such colleges include Sanford Brown, University of Phoenix just to name a couple.

A high school student named Kenton Weyant is using knowledge gained from an online college class to redesign a software program for J. Everett Light Career Center that allows students to track hours they’ve worked, tests completed and other scheduled events.
This outstanding young man is saving the company near $50,000 which is what it would have cost them to have bought similar software.
Kenton has also participated in a combination of courses that can earn dual high school and college credits of which Purdue University in Indianapolis was a part .. Kenton plans to attend Purdue University when the time comes.
Having chosen to take a very tough course that many college students struggle with finding success .. Kenton earned an “A” and so impressed his instructor Ted Reasoner that he personally traveled to meet and congratulate this impressive young high school student.
Chambers was quoted as saying “I’ve had four high school students take the course, three failed and one barely passed. This is a high-powered sophomore level course. The student learns how to design databases like a systems analyst. Students learn the theory of designing databases and how to use Microsoft Access, and then put their knowledge to the test using structured query language to create programs”
Kenton’s teacher feels this student will do very well in his chosen field of endeavor and stated the meeting was very special for him.
Online college courses in the USA have become more than just a novelty. Recent years have proven that colleges offering these online courses are both respected and accredited forms of gaining an education while conforming to meet the schedules of almost anyone .. especially working adults who wish to increase their salary through better education that result in degrees that are marketable in the world of job hunting.
What’s most outstanding about this new form of gaining a better education is the fact it allows those who already have a job or career to continue following their chosen career path to higher levels of education thus resulting in better paying higher positions or they can study to learn an entire new area of career choice while not giving up their current means of income.
